White Collar Fight Club

White Collar Fight Club is part of Cage Amateurs UK and held it's first White Collar Boxing Show on May 25th 2013 at The Rainham Mark Social Club in aid of David Young's Family. David was murdered on New Years Eve. The Medway Mayhem Show attracted over 250 people and was hailed a success by all involved.

Most of the fighters were friends of David's but others who never had the chance to meet him were willing to travel from out of town to support the show and David's family.

Support from The Kent Messenger Group and other sponsors was crucial to the success of the show and Promoters Daniel Towers p; Jon Pepperell would like to thank them, the fighters and everyone who attended WCFC Medway Mayhem.

Last but certainly not least we would like to thank all the people who worked on the show this would never have happened without you.

What is White Collar Boxing? Here is an insight taken from Wikipedia.

White-Collar Boxing is a form of boxing in which men and women in white collar professions train to fight at special events. Most have had no prior boxing experience.

Bouts are usually three two-minute rounds, unlike the longer 3×3 minutes in the Amateur Code for men and 4×2 minutes for women. The UK and US versions have traditionally been 'no decision'.

16 oz gloves are standard in the white collar boxing ring in order to protect competitors from heavy blows and hand injuries. Some gyms permit 14 oz. gloves as well for lighter weight classes and female competitors.

Lets take a look at some of the people involved in WCFC. First off we have one of our referee's, Jon Jarvis Brazillian Jui-Jitsu fighter from Sittingbourne
